Eastern Oriental Express from Bangkok to River Kwai, Singapore & Chiang Mai....
Orient Express present a unique opportunity to step back to a more civilised time and travel on the Eastern & Oriental Express luxury train through Thailand and the Malay Peninsula. Three times a fortnight, the shining green carriages of the famed E&OE convey their passengers on the 1,200 mile journey in supreme comfort and hospitality between Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Butterworth (for Penang), the River Kwai and Bangkok or vice-versa, and periodically onward to Thai Hill country and Chiang Mai. These journeys will appeal to those in search of one of life's great adventures in assured comfort and classic style. Shorter journeys between Singapore and KL, KL and Butterworth, and Butterworth and Bangkok may be tailor-made on request.
The Eastern & Oriental Express - an experience to be cherished and talked about for years.
Travelling in Style
Influenced by the style of the 1920's and 1930's when travel was enjoyed in a more comfortable and leisurely way. Fully air-conditioned and lavishly refurbished with rich wooden marquetry panelling, Thai wall carvings, Malaysian motifs, Chinese and Thai lacquer and French furnishings and fittings. In total the train is 1/4 mile in length. There are 14 sleeping cars, two restaurant cars, one bar car, saloon car and one observation/bar car at the end of the train.

Accommodation
Pullman compartments have picture windows, day seating converting to upper and lower berths, a wardrobe, in-room safe, drop-leaf table and a private bathroom (shower only). Each compartment has the personal service of a cabin steward who is available around the clock. State and Presidential compartments are larger and feature lower berths.
